Physiotherapy is among today's popular courses in modern medicine world over and through its various academic courses is spread over the decades. Physiotherapy is a heath caring profession, which views human movement as central to health and well being of individuals. The core skills used by physiotherapy include manual therapy, therapeutics exercise and the application of electro therapeutic modalities.
Physiotherapy integrates clinical expertise with evidence-based research. Physiotherapist works with a broad variety of physical problems, especially those associated with the neuromuscular , musculoskeletal , cardiovascular and respiratory system. They may work alone, with physiotherapy colleagues or team or with other healthcare professionals in multi- professional teams.

Physiotherapist uses a wide range of drug – free techniques to relieve pain, restore function and movement, and prevent further problems, including
- Joint mobilization and manipulation.
- Therapeutic exercise and stretching.
- Electro physical agent (such as hot packs, ice , SWD,& ultrasound).
- Outpatient – Treating spinal and joint problems, accidents and sport injuries. Intensive care units keeping limbs mobile and chests clear.
- Womens health – Ante-and post-natal care advice, exercise and posture, managing continence and post- gynecological operation.
- Care of Elderly – Maintaining mobility and independence, rehabilitation after falls, treatment of arthritis, Parkinson diseases, chest conditions.
