FDP on Empowering Healthcare Professionals and Educators for Excellence in Modern Healthcare
Faculty of Nursing, Tantia University, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Tantia University, successfully conducted the fourth day of the One-Week Faculty Development Programme on 08 October 2026 under the theme “Empowering Healthcare Professionals and Educators for Excellence in Modern Healthcare.”
The fourth day focused on strengthening the professional knowledge of faculty members regarding healthcare delivery systems and contemporary approaches to cancer prevention, early detection, and health promotion.
Academic Sessions
1. “Healthcare Delivery System in India”
The first academic session was delivered by Mr. Surender Kumar, Associate Professor, S.N. College of Nursing, Sriganganagar. The session provided valuable insights into the structure and functioning of the healthcare delivery system in India, with emphasis on different levels of healthcare, accessibility, continuity of care, and the role of healthcare professionals in strengthening quality healthcare services. The discussion enhanced participants’ understanding of effective and equitable healthcare delivery.
2. “Cancer Awareness and Healthy Lifestyle: Prevention, Early Detection & Health Promotion”
The second session was delivered by Dr. Mahesh K. Mohta, Dr. S.S. Tantia MCH & RC. The session highlighted the growing importance of cancer awareness, lifestyle modification, preventive strategies, early identification of warning signs, and timely healthcare-seeking behaviour. Participants gained practical perspectives on promoting healthy lifestyles and strengthening community awareness regarding cancer prevention and early detection.
